“I was surfing through your website and realized that despite having a good design; it was not ranking on any of the search engines for most of the keywords pertaining to your domain. We can do higher search result on major search engines.”
You get poorly written, borderline spam emails like this one, too. I know because many of you have told me you do, and you’re often concerned. Should you be worried about your ranking? Do you need to invest more in SEO? Is Jak the right guy for the job?
The answer is “no” all around, and I’ll tell you why. You’re already working on search engine optimization if you create web content. More specifically, you’re already working on SEO if you do the following:
- You create content for your website and/or blog regularly.
- You have various social media profiles.
- You focus on building links by writing guest posts and articles, publishing press releases, and submitting your site to directories, among other link building strategies.
There’s definitely more to SEO than what can be contained in three bullet points. And there’s no doubt that an SEO firm would take your money and create more content and build more links than you have time for, but if ranking first in the search engines isn’t something you have to have right now, then continue to ignore Jak.
Keep plugging away on that content creation. With time and a continual flow of sharp content you will find success on the web.
