Sometimes the details of a website are what makes it stand out. In this post we give you four subtle food website features we are digging on lately.
1. Clever FAQ pages
Frequently asked questions are nothing new, but we love to see them on websites. For one, they are a great place to add loads of content to help you get found in a search engine. Second, talk about a great customer service tool. Third, FAQs are a chance to showcase your personality, so DO IT!
popchips has a swoon-worthy FAQ page. It’s clever, thorough, and looks nice, too.
2. Hashtags with meaning
We applaud you for coming up with branded hashtags and sticking to them. You’ve really adopted social marketing.
Now, it’s time to take it the next level and find a hashtag that connects your consumer to a cause, like Kind Snacks has done with their #kindaawesome campaign. The hashtag is listed right on the homepage, and they explain the whole concept in engaging video and graphics. Well done.
3. Embedded Instagram feeds
Pictures rule. So does repurposing content. Check out how Coke has embedded its Instagram feed into the home page. This food website feature adds new life, imagery, and updates to what used to be a normal page. Coca-Cola isn’t alone. We’re seeing this on many consumer food/beverage websites, and we like it.
4. Clever coupons
Consumers love a good deal, and if they love you, they’ll especially love a deal from you. So, follow Boulder Organic’s lead and place a coupon on a web page you know your true fans are visiting, like the “Where to Find Us” page. You’ll drive sales and make your customers happy. It’s a win, win.
These are just a few of our favorites. What website features are you loving these days? Comment below are reach out and let us know!
